The MrCool Universal heat pump is one of the most efficient heat pumps on the market. The MrCool Universal has a SEER rating of 18 to 20 SEER. Now, most folks do not know what SEER means, so let’s explain this first: SEER–Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. This is the standard used to determine the efficiency of your heat pump. In essence, the higher the SEER the more efficient the heat pump system is. In 2022, the minimum SEER rating is 14 SEER, so in comparison, the MRCool Universal is MUCH more efficient compared to the traditional ducted system.
So, that leads us to the next question: What makes the MrCool Universal so efficient? First, it is inverter driven and full variable speed. This inverter technology is comparable to the technology found in the MrCool mini split system. Second, the MrCool Universal’s heat pump technology is rated down to -20 degrees outside prior to the need of the emergency heat strips. For comparison, again, the traditional 14 seer heat pump is rated down to 30 degrees or so, prior to the need of the emergency heat strips being utilized. This, alone, will save you a lot of money on your electric bills.
So, in summary, if you want to save money on your utility bills, then call The HVAC Outlet, and lets see if these high efficient heat pump systems are the right fit for your home!
